As the son of two creatively-minded people, I have long known that my destiny did not lie in academia. I dreaded the day I would be put into a small cubicle and left to gather dust, so in college I picked up a camera and started shooting like my future depended on it. My practical ambitions soon gave way to genuine passion, and I have never thought twice about following this path. While videography and photography are my bread and butter, I have developed a rich catalog of experience in the many facets of modern communications, from helping design and implement a new website from the ground up to conceptualizing and executing a total corporate rebranding. Though I have appreciated the diversity in my short career, I have been yearning to buckle down and become a consummate videography professional, setting myself up to one day be a master of the craft.
Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, I was able to successfully branch out into freelancing work, providing content for several nonprofit organizations in the Washington, D.C. area, including College to Congress and District Sports. I aim to continue this pursuit in my free time while also taking on a full-time videography role in the near future.
In addition to photography and videography, my passions include hip-hop dance, soccer, travel and volunteering. I am fluent in English and Spanish and working to improve my French while I share a house with French diplomats, who have become some of my closest friends. I am originally from South Carolina and have lived in the Washington, D.C. area for two years.
